There are times when a situation arises which causes stress in your life.  This can be a new medical diagnosis for you or a loved one, a career or partner change, or a traumatic event. In these times, having a professional to speak with confidentially can be very helpful. Being able to approach a situation with greater understanding of the causes and effects and gaining a different perspective from someone who is not directly involved is a supportive process. Rosen Method Bodywork

A powerful tool for stress reduction and connection with the body/mind through touch, Rosen Method intertwines the focus of hands and words, bringing awareness to areas of muscular or emotional holding. Attention is also focused on breath patterns; how the breath unconsciously moves with and through you gives information about these areas of holding. Orthopedic Bodywork is focused on an area of pain, injury or recovery from surgery. This process comprehensively addresses muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons to relieve pain and restore strength and flexibility. Conditions which may benefit include

Rosen Method can be combined with the benefits of specific exercises as well as acupuncture, medical care, and other modalities.

TRE Trauma and Tension Release Exercises

TRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD., TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of vibrating that releases muscular and psychological tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of calm and balance. The TRE process can release pent up stress, current or old traumas often without the need to revisit the emotional and memory components. It can facilitate the release of anxiety, work stress, excessive worry, and problems with sleep, allowing the body to obtain a more naturally relaxed, healthy state. The series of simple exercises, learned individually or in a group setting, can be used as a home program.

Caregiver Support Group

Caregiving can be rewarding at times, and at times can also be very stressful. Getting the support and information you need is not always easy or readily available. Taking care of yourself is so important to the care of your loved one(s). I offer ongoing, bi-weekly support groups for caregivers. Call for information.
